Job Summary: We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Expert to join our team, responsible for developing and implementing government relations strategies, providing expert advice on political and regulatory issues, and building strong relationships with government officials and industry leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute government relations strategies to engage key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on political and regulatory issues affecting clients.
  • Monitor political and policy developments to anticipate opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare briefing papers, submissions, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Support clients in advocating for policy positions and managing regulatory challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy advisory.
  • A strong understanding of the political landscape and regulatory environment in New Zealand.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to distil complex policy issues into clear, strategic advice.
  • Experience working in government, a political office, or a consultancy is an advantage.
