Job Description
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of reactive facilities maintenance, operations services, asset management, and minor projects across all LINZ sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and overseeing a high-performing team. Your primary objective will be to inspire, guide, and motivate your team to consistently meet and exceed business goals while delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
- Promote a Zero Harm culture and develop team engagement, growth, and leadership capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring contracts meet KPIs, optimise resources, and achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with service delivery partners to ensure high standards and value for money in all work.
- Lead governance, service delivery, and performance across all work types, customers, and technologies.
- Ensure commercial success and adherence to financial targets while optimising workforce productivity and technical competence.
- Over 5 years of senior-level experience in a complex contracted services environment, managing large-scale operations with multisite locations and significant revenue.
- Proven track record in delivering complex asset management, facilities maintenance, and operations services, ideally in a government setting, with experience driving safety and performance improvements.
- Strong leadership experience, working at the senior leadership level internally and with customers, with a preference for tertiary qualifications in engineering, commercial, or operations management.
- Ability to inspire, communicate commercial strategies, and make timely decisions while managing multiple priorities and complex situations.
- Demonstrates managerial courage, taking initiative and making decisions even in challenging situations; a proven team builder who empowers others and creates strong morale.
- Customer-focused with exceptional relationship management, influencing skills at senior levels, and commercial acumen, including strong negotiation abilities.
- High emotional intelligence with resilience under pressure, strong communication skills, a commitment to Zero Harm, and a collaborative approach to working across multi-functional teams.
