C2 Design is seeking an experienced Senior Licensed Architectural Technician to join our team on a 6–12-month maternity contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented designer with 10+ years of experience and a passion for architecture to make a real impact.

The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge and experience using ArchiCAD, as well as a strong background in the New Zealand building industry.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality working drawings that meet the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.
  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand Standards throughout the design and documentation process.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to other team members and assist with problem-solving during the design and construction phases.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, councils, and builders to ensure smooth project delivery.

About You:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in architectural drafting, with a strong background in the New Zealand building industry.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge and experience using ArchiCAD.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and Standards.
  • Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in all your work.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members.
