Senior Licensed Architectural Technician

C2 Design is a rapidly growing and innovative architectural design firm based in Tauranga. Since taking on our first design project in 2015, we've expanded our talented team and are now looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join us on a 6–12-month maternity contract.

Key responsibilities of the role
- Deliver high-quality working drawings that meet the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand Standards throughout the design and documentation process.
- Provide guidance and technical support to other team members and assist with problem-solving during the design and construction phases.
- Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, councils, and builders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- You must already be living in New Zealand to apply for this position.
- This is an in-house role – please, no contractors.
About You:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in architectural drafting, with a strong background in the New Zealand building industry.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge and experience using ArchiCAD.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and Standards.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in all your work.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and team members.
- Time Management: Excellent at managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Autonomous Work Style: Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
