About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our Vascular Surgery Research team in collaboration with the University of Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge vascular research, where you will play a key role in supporting and advancing the department's vital work.

Working closely with a dynamic team of vascular specialists, you will ensure the continued delivery of high-quality research and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the field. You will have the opportunity to work on first-in-human studies involving medical devices, randomised trials, observational studies, and researcher-generated hypothesis.

About the Team/Service:

Our Waikato Vascular department is the tertiary service to the Te Manawa Taki/Midland Region serving a population of approximately 1 million people. The vascular department collaborates with several national and international research institutions delivering high-quality research and peer-review publications. On average, the department publishes 25-30 publications per year.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Vascular nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Able to effectively communicate with patients and the aortic research team
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to problem-solve and work independently
  • Computer skills – typing and data entry into Excel or equivalent
