Nursing Manager Job Description

Lowie Recruitment is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager to lead our nursing team at an Aged Care facility in North Shore, Auckland.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in leadership and aged care to oversee the delivery of exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the healthcare industry and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and aged care standards
  • Implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance resident care
  • Oversee the execution of resident care plans and maintain accurate records
  • Foster a supportive work environment and promote a culture of excellence

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with BSN required; MSN preferred
  • 5+ years of nursing experience in NZ, 2+ in a leadership role, preferably in aged care
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and aged care standards
  • Proficient in EMR systems with excellent communication and leadership skills

What We Offer:

  • $45 - $60 an hour, depending on experience
  • Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Fixed term, Full-time work (Rotating roster that may include occasional weekends and night shifts)
