We have 5 Whanau Health Centres located in picturesque townships, delivering general practice services to an enrolled population of 11,000. Our mission is to be a leading indigenous health provider by providing culturally appropriate and individual holistic care.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary primary health care team. The successful candidate will need to be committed to achieving health equity and driving quality improvement to ensure better health outcomes for our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide whānau-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to a defined population.
- To work as part of a clinical team, ensuring whānau needs are met.
- To make clear medical decisions and take ownership of these, following up on problems to ensure they are resolved.
Requirements
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner in NZ with current APC.
- Vocational registration or practical experience as a General Practitioner.
- Excellent communication skills.
What We Offer:
- Flexible hours: 0.6 to 1.0 FTE.
- Support from a multidisciplinary primary health care team.
- Negotiable remuneration package for permanent staff.
- Reimbursement (pro rata) of costs associated with MCNZ registration, annual practising certification, College fees and medical indemnity insurance coverage.
- Tangihanga (funeral) insurance coverage.
- Relocation allowance.
