Overview
Auckland One Rail (AOR) is a joint venture formed by Comfort Delgro Group and UGL, providing whole of life asset maintenance and engineering services. AOR operates the Auckland passenger rail services and maintains the associated stations, depots, and train fleet.
Purpose
The key relationship position between KiwiRail and AOR will lead and coordinate AOR's input and review of KiwiRail's performance under the ANAA. The role ensures that KiwiRail's plans to improve network infrastructure are consistent with whole lifecycle asset optimisation.
Responsibilities
- Work with KiwiRail to deliver a step-change in network performance by delivering a road map that aligns KiwiRail's and AOR's KPIs.
- Establish processes to ensure that observations made by operational staff are reported to and acted on by KiwiRail.
- Identify key items of rail infrastructure ('golden assets') that have a critical impact on operations when they fail.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of the principles of network access undertakings (Auckland Network Access Agreement).
- National Rail System Standards and associated qualifications in rail assets.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the rail industry, dealing with rail network management or improvement.
