We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Major Incident Support Team as a Disaster Recovery Operations Assistant. This role plays a vital part in ensuring Hato Hone St John provides a world-leading response to major incidents and large events.
As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative, logistical, and communication support to our Ambulance Operations and Event Health Services teams. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Event planning: Supporting the planning and coordination of events and activities.
- Logistical support: Assisting in the movement and setup of infrastructure, including vehicles and equipment.
- Communication networks: Setting up and managing communication systems within Command Units and between emergency operations centres and ambulance communications centres.
- Welfare and care: Ensuring the well-being of staff members by providing essential services such as food, water, and mental health support.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A current, clean full NZ Driver's Licence class 1 and a First Aid certificate are also essential requirements.
