About the Role

We are seeking an experienced toxicologist to join our team as a Senior Scientific Advisor - Chemicals Assessment. As a key member of our Hazardous Substances & New Organisms Group, you will play a crucial role in evaluating applications for the import, manufacture, and reassessment of chemicals used in New Zealand.

In this position, you will utilize your knowledge of toxicology and scientific concepts to provide expert advice on complicated topics. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team and support a positive, professional culture is essential to our success.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of customer service principles and be able to communicate complex ideas effectively. You will also need to be able to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Our ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in toxicology and experience working within a regulatory environment. They will also have expertise in chemicals or agrochemical regulations and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
