The client, the primary healthcare provider for the top of the South Island, provides high-quality, patient-centered care across Nelson and Marlborough. Our Radiology Department offers a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including General Radiography, CT Scanning, Interventional/Cardiac Cath Lab, Ultrasound, and MRI.

We are seeking a registered Medical Imaging Technologist with a strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography and a commitment to best practices. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and care throughout radiology procedures, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective imaging services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and care throughout radiology procedures.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective imaging services.
  • Participate in quality control measures to maintain optimal imaging standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation following department protocols.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography with a commitment to best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic patient care.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Experience in CT and/or Interventional procedures is preferred but not essential.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa.
