This is an exciting opportunity to join our Radiology department at Nelson Hospital. You will be rostered Monday to Friday 0830-1700, with the option of working evenings/weekends if desired. Our team provides a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, MRI, CT Scanning, Ultrasound, Cardiac Catheterisation and Angiography.

You will manage the daily activities of the CT unit by providing a safe and efficient radiology service, ensuring oversight and smooth running of the CT service at Nelson Hospital. You will assist with general radiographic duties when rostered to shifts outside of normal business hours as required.

The salary range for this full-time position is $94,130 - $102,129 based on the current NZ APEX MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ

- Driving the focus of our CT team.
- The training and supervision of students & staff development and training.

You will have current registration with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC. You will be the type of person who leads by example and is held in high regard by your peers.
- Advanced knowledge of CT scanning.
- Good working knowledge of diagnostic radiography, including mobiles and theatre work.
- Good understanding of workflows, with an active interest in Quality Improvement.
- The ability to problem solve and address, or assess technical issues.
- Great communication skills and empathy.
- The passion to deliver high-quality healthcare.
- Proven ability to lead a team and create effective working relationships.
- Flexibility to manage unplanned CT outages outside of normal business hours.

Preferred, but not essential:

- Postgraduate qualification with a CT focus.
- Experience in general radiology with a DR focus.
- You are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary course of NZ approved Covid-19 vaccinations._
