Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. This includes reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up the machine, and preparing and loading raw materials onto the machine.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders or mechanical drawings to determine specification and requirement of the task.
  • Setting up the machine by translating instructions into computer commands for the machine to perform the correct function.
  • Preparing and loading raw materials onto the machine.
  • Operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant experience OR relevant qualification.
  • Reliable and hardworking.
  • Physically fit.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety best practice.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in multiple locations throughout New Zealand.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
  • Competitive hourly rate of $29.66 to $31.00 per hour.
