As a key member of our team, you will be right at the heart of it, contributing to our growth and success in beautiful Hawke's Bay. Reporting to the CFO, your purpose will be to provide financial and strategic support to our Rockit business managers in all aspects of the business.

The Role

This includes budgeting, capital development, long-term planning, forecasting, profitability, and cost and revenue tracking and reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing proactive day-to-day operational support to ensure a thorough understanding of key productivity, revenue, and cost drivers;
  • Assisting business managers to improve company profitability through regular productivity reporting and recommending revenue and cost initiatives;
  • Participating in regular inter-departmental meetings to ensure no surprises from the growing, operations, or sales teams that will significantly alter budgeted/forecast profits;
  • Providing commercial interpretation of key operational metrics for meaningful and timely financial forecasts;
  • Keeping senior management updated on issues likely to affect Rockit's financial results, capital expenditure, and cash flow.

About You

We are seeking a CA/CPA qualified professional with broad-based skills across commercial finance. It's essential that you have gained exposure in a fast-paced and complex organization, preferably in FMCG, Retail, or similar industries. You should have a strong business sense, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and naturally look for ways to create efficiency in your work.

You will be autonomous, driven, and self-directed with a track record of delivering multiple workstreams to deadline. You show initiative and innovation, and have the ability to solve complex issues with sound judgment. Excellent interpersonal skills will help you engage across multiple teams and partner well at a senior level.
