About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a highly skilled Radiation Therapist and contribute to the delivery of exceptional care and services in our Radiation Therapy department at Christchurch Hospital. Our team is passionate about continued professional development, supporting education, and refining clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and record radiation treatment accurately and efficiently.
- Provide information and education to patients and their family/whānau where appropriate.
- Assist with the clinical training and ongoing clinical assessment of Radiation Therapy students.
- Identify areas of improvement and participate in change initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Developed technical skills in radiation treatment planning and delivery, brachytherapy, and radiation oncology patient management systems.
- Eligibility for registration as a Radiation Therapist by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board of New Zealand.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Three years' experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred but not essential.
