Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced professional to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals orally or by injection or inhalation.
- The ideal candidate will explain the imaging procedure to patients, answer questions, and ensure their comfort while placing them in the appropriate position for scanning.
- The selected candidate will operate imaging equipment, such as PET and SPECT scans, process images on the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer, and monitor patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
- The successful candidate will maintain detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceutical used and of the procedure.
- The chosen individual will produce computer-generated or film images for interpretation by the physicians.
- The job also requires following safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure, maintaining and examining medical machines and imaging equipment, and staying up-to-date with frequent advances, innovations, and developments in the field.
Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Nuclear Medicine with registration certification
Minimum 1 year of experience with a reputable Hospital
Key skills:
- Ability to competently operate imaging equipment
- Good manual dexterity and mechanical abilities
