Job Description

As the Senior Procurement Energy Category Manager, you will create procurement strategies that enable Fonterra's sustainability journey and support its decarbonisation goals while optimising costs. Your leadership will guide the transition to sustainable fuel sources, leveraging broad expertise in sustainable energy options to deliver long-term strategic procurement plans and enhance value for the Co-operative.

About the Role

You will oversee a team of category and vendor managers, ensuring alignment with organisational needs through effective stakeholder engagement. This is a senior leadership role that demands exceptional Procurement thought leadership and the ability to significantly influence senior stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualification, preferably Supply Chain or related business degree.
  • Achieved MCIPS (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years strategic procurement experience, including category strategy development, sourcing, negotiating, contract establishment and vendor management.
  • Energy market experience across gas, electricity and coal.
