As a Dental Assistant with Lakes Te Whatu Ora Community Oral Health Service - Taupo, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality oral health care to our patients. Our team is passionate about providing excellent patient care and working together to achieve the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, providing support to dental professionals in the delivery of care to children and families. Your key responsibilities will include sterilization and infection control, preparation of dental materials and products, managing stock levels, and administration procedures and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sterilisation and Infection Control: Ensure all equipment and surfaces are properly cleaned and disinfected to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Preparation of Dental Materials and Products: Assist dental professionals in preparing and handling dental materials and products.
  • Managing Stock Levels: Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of dental materials and products.
  • Administration Procedures and Processes: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining accurate records.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
