Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our team. As a key member of our installation and repair team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
  • Instruct apprentices on proper plumbing techniques and safety protocols
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A valid trade certification as a plumber
  • A Red Seal Certificate as a plumber
  • A valid Canadian work permit (if applicable)
