Our Mission

This pivotal role is all about leading the Engineering, Maintenance & Metrology (EM&M) function across Douglas New Zealand sites. You will provide strategic leadership and operational direction to the EM&M team, ensuring our equipment operates seamlessly 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Provide clear leadership and vision, inspiring and motivating your team to achieve excellence.
  • Mentor and develop team members on Good Manufacturing and Engineering practices.

Strategic Leadership: Implement EM&M strategy and operational goals to exceed customer expectations for equipment and service provision, quality, cost, and delivery.

Create and implement best practice EM&M vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to support the overall business strategy.

Operational Leadership: Ensure all EM&M activities are delivered on time and executed in adherence to our Quality and Compliance processes.

Drive Continuous Improvement across all EM&M related areas of the business.

Establish and maintain a robust preventive maintenance plan.

Financial Management: Prepare the annual EM&M department budget and forecast all Capital Expenditure proposals.

Manage the EM&M department budgets and negotiate with suppliers to ensure beneficial financial outcomes.
