**Job Description: Financial Assistant**

We are seeking an experienced **Financial Assistant** to join our Group Performance and Planning team. In this role, you will provide essential financial administration support to ensure core finance transactions and processes are executed effectively.

You will collaborate across various finance areas to support the operational delivery of financial information for Hamilton Gardens, H3, Te Kaaroro Nature Precinct, Te Whare o Taonga Waikato Museum and Gallery, and other group activities.

  • Provide financial administration support
  • Ensure effective execution of core finance transactions and processes
  • Collaborate across finance areas for optimal work prioritization and utilization

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a transactional finance and/or customer-focused role, with knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. A strong computing skills, particularly in accounting systems, MS Word, and Excel, are also essential.

In addition, you will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as a customer-focused mindset. We are looking for someone who is technically accurate, action-oriented, and willing to work cross-functionally and build internal relationships.
