We are looking for a Policy Director, Government Relations to join our team in Wellington. As a senior policy professional, you will contribute to the development of advice and reports to the Government.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the development of project initiation documents, scoping and analytical products as part of the CCRA work programme. This involves working with other teams across the organisation to input into statutory deliverables.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to positive climate action in Aotearoa by leading the development of advice and reports to the Government
  • Use your sharp mind, analytical and organisational skills in meaningful mahi
  • Leading and contributing to multiple pieces of work concurrently
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
  • Extensive mitigation and adaptation experience
  • Analytical and critical reasoning skills, with experience in developing and implementing workable solutions to ambiguous and complex problems
  • Experience in procuring services and managing contracts
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
  • Experience leading people and projects
  • An understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi/the Treaty of Waitangi, Treaty principles, te ao Maori (including tikanga and kawa), and experience engaging with iwi and Maori
