This role is part of our Provincial Southern leadership team, which aims to provide strategic leadership and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Associates to build and strengthen ANZ's market presence across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship and coaching to a team of Relationship Managers and Associates, primarily across the Agri segment.
  • Be a critical member of the Business & Agri leadership team and leverage your strong banking background to support the delivery of our regional strategy.
  • Promote and lead ANZ in the local and regional marketplace via events, community initiatives and customer interactions.
  • Champion the use of data and insights to build knowledge and capability and enable better customer outcomes.
  • Embed a strong conduct and risk culture across the business.
  • Build a framework for consistent approaches to areas in staff training, operating models, management of credit and adoption of change.
  • Continuously look to build new relationships aligned to business strategy and ensure existing customer needs are understood and met.

About You:

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • A successful track record in customer relationship management, risk management and an ability to influence outcomes.
  • A deep understanding and knowledge of the Agri sector, including ability to build market presence and win in the market.
  • A track record of growing market share.
  • Strong commercial acumen, and experience managing and workshopping complex deals.
  • Well-developed leadership ability, with proven experience in achieving results through collaboration.
  • Proven experience in providing direction, training, development, coaching, motivation to a team of talented individuals.
  • An ability to problem solve in a complex environment while managing ambiguity and conflicting demands.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management experience and an ability to engage and influence at senior levels.
  • A sound understanding using technology to take a structured approach in setting up systems and processes to effectively manage and monitor against metrics.
