Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Health New Zealand, Te Toka Tumai Auckland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and busy environment, providing laboratory services for 3 national programmes. The Specialist Chemical Pathology department is responsible for providing laboratory services for various programmes, including Bowel Screening, Newborn Screening, and Antenatal Screening.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality laboratory services for the above-mentioned programmes
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve strict turnaround times and quality requirements
* Develop and maintain excellent organisational, computer, and communication skills
* Possess attention to detail, excellent time management, accuracy, and ability to work as part of a team
* Stay up-to-date with new techniques and methodologies

Requirements
* Current annual practicing certificate and registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience with automated and manual methodologies and specialised techniques
