You will work in a collaborative team with a reputation for excellence, sharing a passion for robust technical analysis to understand and solve water quality issues.Beca is involved in significant environmental and infrastructure improvement projects in Australasia and the Pacific.
Our clients include government entities, utility providers, industrial facilities, developers, iwi, and private organizations requiring environmental science expertise.You will contribute to various technical assessments and manage projects nationwide.
This role will enable you to develop your career both technically and as a senior consultant within a multi-disciplinary organization.
Other key role components include:Lead projects to enhance freshwater outcomes on behalf of our clients, supported by the broader teamConduct water quality analysis including fieldworkPrepare technical assessments for various environmental projects including resource consent applicationsLead proposal preparation for clientsMaintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external clientsUphold and promote Beca's key values of partnership, tenacity, enjoyment, and careEngage with iwi to enhance the mauri of our freshwater ecosystemThis role offers significant opportunities for career growth through diverse project opportunities.
As part of the Environmental & Sustainability Advisory section, you will be part of a team of over 60 environmental scientists and sustainability advisors across New Zealand, focused on shaping environmental and sustainability outcomes.Mou ake | About youThis role allows you to combine your passion for the environment with your technical capabilities to solve real-world client problems.
You will enjoy collaborating with people from various backgrounds, including clients, to understand their needs.
You will provide robust technical advice and analysis to improve environmental outcomes.This broad role ideally requires experience in:Analysis of health and quality of freshwater systemsUnderstanding and experience with New Zealand's legislative and planning frameworkWater-related projects, particularly stormwater and wastewaterManaging projects and leading teams to deliver excellent outcomesData analysis, including statistical software and interpretationStrong communication and writing skillsA degree in environmental science, freshwater science, or a related disciplineYou should be ambitious to progress your career and eager to work in an environment that encourages motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic consultants who want to make a difference.
