**Responsibilities**

  • Design and implement monitoring and remediation toolsets to ensure high system reliability and operational excellence.

  • Develop and maintain tools to reduce toil in managing monitoring and logging platforms.
  • Provide guidance on tooling, standards, and practices in monitoring, tracing, logging, and observability.

**Requirements**

  • Experience working in production environments to improve operational outcomes.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, CICD tools, and monitoring solutions like New Relic, Datadog, Dynatrace, SignalFX, Scalyr, Sumo Logic, Splunk, or Open Telemetry.
