About the Role

This permanent, full-time position offers a dynamic and supportive environment where you can apply your expertise to improve health outcomes. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of all New Zealanders.

The ideal candidate will possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent), as well as registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Laboratory experience in immunology at a senior level and a current Annual Practicing Certificate and medical indemnity insurance are also essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage allergic diseases, autoimmune conditions, and primary immunodeficiencies.
  • Support the development of laboratory diagnostic services, particularly in autoimmune serology, allergy, and immunodeficiency.
  • Contribute to teaching and research initiatives.
  • Provide consultative and advisory services for laboratory testing and clinical case interpretation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
