Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a scalable Core Data Platform.
  • Ensure the reliability and availability of our data platform.
  • Implement best practices to guarantee data privacy and security.
  • Participate in an on-call roster and respond to incidents involving the data platform.

Requirements:

  1. 2-5 years of experience administering PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
  2. Ability to manage database infrastructure in a public cloud.
  3. Experience participating in an on-call roster.
  4. Solid knowledge of Windows Clustering and Windows Server O/S.
  5. Familiarity with Linux or Serverless apps (a bonus).
  6. Strong understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.
  7. Experienced in scripting languages like T-SQL, Powershell, Python, and Terraform.
  8. Knowledge of cloud data services and their use cases.
  9. Ability to make calm, informed decisions under pressure.
  10. Excellent communication skills, both in-person and via collaboration tools.
  11. Self-motivated and proactive in identifying ways to improve the platform.
  12. Collaborative and transparent approach to problem-solving.
  13. A team player with a passion for helping others succeed.
