We're looking for someone with expertise in working with stainless steel, alloy, and mild steel. You'll be creating everything from tanks and hoppers to process lines for industries such as dairy and food production. Your excellent welding and fabrication skills will enable you to manage diverse on-the-job challenges, both individually and as part of a small, highly supportive team.
About you: We want someone who is self-driven, able to work unsupervised, and Trade qualified with solid experience in stainless welding and light fabrication. Ideally, you'll have:
- Trade Certification in a mechanical engineering field or a minimum of 5 years relevant hands-on training and experience
- A solid knowledge of welding in stainless and alloy with appropriate welding tickets or trade qualification
- The ability to weld light gauge stainless to a high-quality finish
- Practical hands-on experience in stainless-steel fabrication (5+ years preferred)
- Proven competence in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings
- The ability to discuss jobs directly with clients and understand their requirements
- A current NZ Drivers' Licence
