About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Wiri distribution centers (DC). This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of DC processes, including inbound logistics, inventory management, dispatching, and staff supervision, while maintaining high service standards to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Own and promote a culture of safety first in all warehouses; ensure adherence to Cardinal's Health & Safety practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee container scheduling, devanning, inwards receipting, warehouse management, and freight management. Manage KPIs and drive performance improvements.
  • Quality Management: Ensure continuous quality improvement and stabilization of processes.
  • Process Optimization: Monitor warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow to maximize productivity while minimizing costs.
  • Strategic Planning: Plan and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across all operations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular reports on operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment. Use data to identify and drive improvements.
  • People Management: Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff while fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
  • Health & Safety Focus: Lead Health & Safety initiatives, conduct toolbox talks, and implement corrective actions as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years in the 3PL industry, with a proven track record in warehouse operations management, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and staff management.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
  • Expertise in project implementation, lean operations, and resource modeling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
