We are seeking a highly skilled research scientist to lead our team in developing low carbon process technologies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific and technical direction, development, design, and scale up of process safety technologies. This includes developing new projects, executing laboratory-based or pilot-based experiments, leading a multi-disciplinary team, and supervising junior researchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific and Technical Direction: Provide expertise in chemical engineering and process safety to drive the development of low carbon technologies.
- Project Development: Develop new projects, including timelines, milestones, methodological approaches, expected results, and necessary resources.
- Laboratory and Pilot-Scale Experiments: Execute or plan/direct laboratory-based or pilot-based experiments to support process development, scale-up campaigns, and process optimisation.
- Team Leadership: Lead a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers through technical challenges and contribute to the successful completion of projects.
- Junior Researcher Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and mentor junior research scientists and engineers.
- Communication: Engage with various industry/academic collaborators and external stakeholders, present and share knowledge regularly, and communicate effectively on project findings and status.
- Documentation: Document results, write and review technical reports, scientific journal publications, patents, etc.
