About the Role

We are seeking an experienced cardiac nurse to join our cardiology nursing service. The successful candidate will work alongside a team to provide expert care to patients with cardiac conditions, with a specific focus on cardiac rhythm management.

The ideal candidate will have advanced assessment and interpersonal skills, be passionate about improving outcomes for people and their whanau, and be willing to develop and work in nurse-led services.

About the Team/Service

The cardiology team is made up of health professionals who have a passion for their work. This role is primarily based at Wellington Hospital, supporting the tertiary electrophysiology service.

The senior nursing cardiology team consists of experienced RN Prescribers and expert CNSs, who champion nurse-led innovation and advanced nursing practice.

What You Need To Succeed

  • An experienced cardiac nurse or RN Prescriber
  • Working towards or have completed postgraduate nursing education qualification
  • Demonstrating advanced assessment and inter-personal skills
  • Patient focused approach
