The Job

We are currently seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our Sudima Auckland Airport team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for producing creative and innovative gourmet dishes that exceed our guests' expectations.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop menus, estimate food and labor costs, and manage supply orders. Your ability to multitask, show flexibility, and meet deadlines under pressure will be essential in maintaining our high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes that meet brand standards across the restaurant, bar, conference services, and room service.
  • Support the Head Chef in planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and managing supply orders.
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance to junior kitchen team members.
  • Promote a positive team atmosphere grounded in cooperation and mutual respect.
  • Monitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation stages, ensuring consistency and excellence.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment.
  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including mornings and evening shifts and public holidays.
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations and kitchen equipment.
