As a Radiation Oncologist at the Southern District Health Board, you will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art radiation therapy department with three linear accelerators, delivering over 1500 courses of radiation therapy per year. You will be part of a close-knit team with strong ties to the University of Otago, providing opportunities for research, teaching, and mentorship.

About the Role:

  • You will provide expert care in the management of various tumour streams, including head and neck cancers and gynaecological cancers.
  • You will work closely with the multidisciplinary cancer treatment team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for vocational or Locum Tenens registration in Radiation Oncology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
