About the Role
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of New Zealand Parliament's digital environment. This involves monitoring and maintaining the security of ICT services and infrastructure, detecting and responding to cyber security incidents, and contributing to security strategy and awareness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate cyber security incidents, reporting threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of security policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • Assist in compliance and governance reporting, risk management, and accreditation processes.
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives and user education programmes.

Requirements:

  • Able to obtain and maintain an NZSIS security clearance to SECRET level or above.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Awareness of current cyber security risks, threats, and trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and respond to security incidents.
