Healthcare Support Worker Level 4

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at WOFO. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide patient handling assistance as required, including the correct use of lifting equipment and assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
* Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, and preparing the room for admission.
* Complete delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision.
* Ensure Health and Safety compliance by using equipment safely, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures, including infection control.
* Restock materials and complete cleaning duties as required.
Requirements:
* Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent)
* Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients
* A reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting)
* Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy
* Reliable and honest with a positive attitude
* Willing to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf) and undergo a health screening
