Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis until June 2027. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Christchurch Men's Prison Redevelopment Programme as part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Support the development of the procurement plan for the first phase of the Christchurch Men's Prison Redevelopment Programme.
  • Oversee the clarification process and tender logistics for the procurement process.
  • Prepare and support necessary materials and logistics for effective negotiations during the negotiation phase.

This role requires a seasoned professional with experience in infrastructure/construction (public sector) procurement, leading teams and working within major programmes of work. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Programme Management Office and develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience in infrastructure/construction (public sector) procurement.
  • Experience in leading teams and working within a major programme of work.
  • Sound knowledge of best practice project management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $125,601 - $177,318 per annum, with a midpoint of $147,765. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
