Role Overview

The Senior Advisor for Ministerial Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the timeliness and quality of official information requests, Ministerial correspondence, and written parliamentary questions. This position requires strong experience and knowledge working with the Official Information Act (OIA).

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage internal and external systems and processes associated with OIA requests, Ministerial correspondence, and parliamentary questions.
  • Oversee the progress of information requests to ensure they meet timeliness and quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance, support, review, and quality assurance of work related to parliamentary questions, Ministerial correspondence, and OIA requests.
  • Maintain effective relationships internally and externally, including with the Minister's office and external agencies.
Key Requirements
  • Excellent relationship management and time management skills.
  • Solid experience and knowledge working with the OIA.
  • Ability to manage risk and make sound judgments.
  • Comfortable speaking to and advising all Police staff, including Senior Leadership.
  • Active in seeking opinions from others.
