Telecommunications Network Manager

About the Role
As a Field Supervisor with Ventia's Telecommunications Fixed Networks Team, you will play a critical role in achieving optimum production and cost outcomes. Your primary responsibility will be to manage direct labour and subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment.
This is a visible role that requires regular travel, including spending nights away from home. You may be required to travel 4-6 hours a day depending on where the work is being carried out.
Safety and Environment
- Ensure a strong safety culture by addressing incidents swiftly, communicating effectively through toolboxes, pre-starts, and safety alerts.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, promoting corporate initiatives.
Project Delivery
- Oversight of work, analysis of production methods, and performance against schedule.
- Assessment of efficiency and quality to ensure balance between cost and production to meet objectives and time constraints.
- Understanding contractual obligations and effective management of internal workforce and subcontractors.
Quality
- Ensure project standards and quality are achieved by explaining work practices, standards, ITPs, and expectations.
- Streamline operations and monitor quality outputs.
Planning and Scheduling
- Ensure work is planned and scheduled to meet required timelines and outputs.
Leadership
- Foster a team culture of ownership and excellence.
Client Focus
- Maintain productive internal and external relationships.
- Ensure delivery meets the needs of relevant stakeholders.
About You
You will succeed along with:
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in related industry or construction.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans.
- Understanding of NBN Optical Fibre Network.
- Experienced in subcontractor management.
- Sound computer skills, problem-solving abilities, time management, and people skills.
- Construction white card.
