The role offers a rare opportunity to work in a dynamic organisation that promotes the development and organisation of football across the South Pacific.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on a range of matters, including commercial drafting and review, employment law, and risk management, as well as collaborating with the procurement team to enhance contract processes and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate contracts to ensure alignment with organisational goals and compliance with legal standards;
- Provide guidance on disciplinary matters, employee claims, and benefits inquiries;
- Assess legal documentation and provide recommendations for improvement;
- Manage relationships with external counsel and suppliers;
- Stay up-to-date on all legislation affecting the organisation and ensure relevant departments are informed of new or proposed legislation.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: LLB and a valid NZLS practising certificate;
- Experience: +2 PQE, experience in Sports Law and/or Employment Law is valuable;
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and thoroughness in drafting, reviewing, and assessing legal documents.
