The Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team as a Senior People & Capability Advisor. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for providing advice and hands-on support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with people leaders to ensure HR best practices align with Northpower's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and advise leaders on HR best practices
- Manage employment relations matters end-to-end, whilst working within a unionised environment
- Support organisational change initiatives
- Drive leadership capability development
- Collaborate on strategic people plans to enhance engagement and business performance
- Ensure compliance with NZ employment law and HR policies
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted advisor
About You:
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be an experienced HR Advisor with a solid understanding of New Zealand employment law and proven experience partnering with leaders to provide strategic advice, coach and mentor people leaders to enhance overall capability and HR practice, and drive business outcomes.
You will be passionate about people, have strong relationship building skills, have a can-do attitude, and show eagerness to learn. You will also have a relevant bachelor's degree preferably in HR management or I/O psychology, proven 5 years' experience in an HR advisory role, and strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and regulations.
