Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Case Manager in the Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS).

As a Case Manager, you will work closely with clients who experience moderate to severe addiction issues, alongside mental health difficulties or associated physical health issues. You will apply evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, in an individualised manner while also working with other services and organisations to address obstacles to recovery.

Our CADS Case Managers work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for our people and their whānau. They have stable staffing levels and good workflow management, resulting in very low caseloads compared to national averages.

About Us

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley is a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, medical, and administration staff. We value working in a client and whānau-centred manner, including cultural and community connections, to deliver high-quality services.

Our team offers specialist services for adults experiencing addiction and mental health issues, focusing on providing evidence-based interventions. We strive to create a climate of safety for ourselves and colleagues, and have been recognised as one of the most safe and supportive workplaces in the Wellington district.
