Job Summary

The Health, Safety, Training & Compliance Superintendent will lead the Health, Safety and Training functions to ensure mining and related activities are carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Maramarua Mine Health and Safety Management System
  • Manage a small team of coordinators to support the Mine Manager and site management
  • Coordinate training programs for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and company policies

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and strong relationship management
  • Good understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation
  • Experience in a Mining Operations environment is advantageous
  • Formal qualification in Occupational Health, Safety & Training and/or in Mining
