**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Underground Mine Development Specialist to join our Projects team at OceanaGold. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of site investigations, mine design, and infrastructure planning for our new gold mine project in Wharekirauponga.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in underground mining engineering, with experience in mine design, production scheduling, and geotechnical analysis. You will work closely with our Technical Services Superintendent and Project Director to ensure project milestones are achieved and collaborate with our geology team to incorporate recommendations into stope designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for mine design, infrastructure planning, and production schedules
  • Work closely with the Technical Services Superintendent and Project Director to ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Support site investigation activities and surface infrastructure requirements
  • Complete vertical development, probe drilling, and service holes designs
