In-depth familiarity with third-party billing requirements, governmental regulations, and billing documentation compliance requirements pertaining to hospital and ambulatory reimbursement is also required.

Coding certification, such as CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P, is preferred but not mandatory.
