Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Play a key role in the audit division's strategic direction, contributing to firm-wide growth and business development initiatives.
Audit Quality & Risk Management: Oversee complex audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards while maintaining quality assurance.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the audit team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting career progression.
Operational Efficiency: Drive workflow planning, resource allocation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the audit function.
Critical Outcomes: Excellence in Audit Delivery: Maintain the highest standards of audit quality and regulatory compliance.
Client Satisfaction & Growth: Strengthen client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand services and add value.
Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop a strong audit team, ensuring continuous professional growth.
Firm Growth & Strategy: Contribute to business development and strategic initiatives, shaping the future success of the firm.
About you: Minimum of 10 years' experience working in an external audit firm to a senior management or directorship level Strong technical skill set Experience managing and mentoring audit staff CA or CPA qualified Experience leading and managing audit engagements What's on Offer Not only is the role appealing, but you will have the opportunity to live in sunny Hawkes Bay, with the firm's offices located in Hastings.
