About Us

Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is a prominent Māori iwi (tribe) that operates several tourism businesses across Aotearoa. Our goal is to provide unique and engaging experiences that showcase the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver guided tours of our astronomy centre, highlighting the science and mythology behind the stars
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable experience
  • Work closely with our team to develop and deliver new tour content and programs
  • Maintain accurate records of tour logistics and customer interactions

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues alike
  • Fluency in English, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and clarity
  • A full and clean New Zealand driver's licence, with P-Endorsement
  • Class 2 driver's licence (or ability to attain one)
