Role Overview: As a Curriculum Coach at Avalon Childcare Centre, you will have the exciting opportunity to support the development of our kaiako, enhancing their teaching skills and practice. You will work closely with our team to observe and provide feedback on teaching practices, linking theory to practice through Storypark.
Your expertise in early childhood education will help shape the learning experiences for our tamariki in the preschool room.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and creative individual who is passionate about mentoring and professional development. You will have experience working with diverse groups of people and be able to communicate effectively with kaiako, children, and whānau.
A highlight of this role is the opportunity to work at a small, multi-cultural Centre with high ratios, allowing you to build strong relationships with your colleagues and the children in your care.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience as a qualified teacher or kaiako
- An understanding of Te Whāriki and its application in early childhood education settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education
We Offer:
- A minimum of 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (8am-5pm) and Friday (8am-4pm)
