About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of animal species and contribute to the conservation efforts of the zoo. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of modern zoological best practices and a commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care and management of the zoo's animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health and wellbeing
- Develop and implement enrichment programs to promote the mental and physical stimulation of the animals
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve the zoo's conservation goals and objectives
- Maintain accurate records of animal observations, behaviors, and health checks
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree in animal behaviour or a relevant equivalent, as well as a minimum of 1 year experience in animal husbandry. They will also possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling them to work seamlessly with others and support their team members.

- A competitive salary package, circa $58,000 - $64,000 dependent on skills and experience
