Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join our specialist school in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their lives.

About the Role

As a SEND Educational Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that every child receives tailored support to meet their educational, emotional, and physical needs. Your role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 support and small group assistance to pupils with SEN.
  • Helping pupils engage in learning and develop essential life skills.
  • Supporting pupils with their emotional well-being and behaviour management.
  • Assisting with personal care and physical support, where necessary.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children with SEN.
  • Experienced in working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or complex behaviours (desirable).
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a positive approach to learning support.
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A great team player, willing to learn and grow within a specialist setting.
